Hello,

 

I'm Adam "AVT" Van Thiel, a multi-instrumentalist, producer, session drummer and educator living in Vancouver, Canada. Starting with music at a young age, I began my musical journey by learning how to play the guitar and putting on "concerts" for my family, before moving on to learn drums and eventually music production.

 

I am an accomplished drummer, specializing in production and private instruction, earning endorsements from a number of companies including Mapex Drums and Los Cabos Drumsticks.

 

After I finished high school I stumbled onto a music production course in Vancouver, and have since become a graduate of every major recording and production school in western Canada. I am currently working towards a Bachelors Degree at Berklee College of Music.

 

In my spare time, I can usually be found working on music, experimenting with photography, creating short films and of course practicing. I am also a music journalist having written for a dozen or so publications both national and international (Click here for archives ), I even got to interview my favourite drummer ( Inferno) once upon a time.
